Sport Injury Claims
sometimes due to negligence -
find out if you can claim
Sports and exercises are most commonly thought of as being beneficial to health and fitness, reducing the risk of heart disease, obesity, and depression. However, sports are also the cause of many injuries.
Sport, due to its physical nature, makes for an injury-prone pastime, and whilst there is an inherent understanding by sports players that there is some risk involved, many sports injuries are sustained which are not the fault of the person playing, and these can sometimes lead to successful personal injury claims.
It's common for sports injuries to occur, should a player by pushed too hard by their trainer, suffer an accident on the pitch, or receive an injury due to poor equipment.
In the example of there being a defect with regards to the equipment, there is often a case for a sports injury claim to be made.
What to Do After a Sports Injury
The first thing to do if you have suffered a sporting injury is to seek medical attention. This way you can find out the extent of the injury and gain appropriate treatment.
Another benefit to gaining immediate medical attention is that this way, you will have evidence of when and how you sustained your sports injury, should you choose to claim compensation at a later date.

Spectator Sports Injury Claims
If you're watching a sports event, you are not participating, and therefore should be able to watch the game without any fear or risk of sustaining a sports injury. Accidents to sports spectators may occur if they were provided with unsafe seating or shelter, or if inadequate lighting or a hazard led to a fall.
Spectator sports injuries are also sometimes the result of insufficient crowd control at sporting events, leading to potentially dangerous overcrowding. Lack of adequate safety measures is often a cause of spectator sports injuries.
Making a Claim
If you have suffered an injury due to an accident which occurred whilst you were watching or participating in a sports event, you may well be able to make a claim to cover for any damages which occurred as a result of the injury.
If this has happened to you, call National Accident Helpline™ for advice on how to claim compensation.
