National Accident Helpline has launched two new mobile websites providing consumers with fast and easy access to information about making an accident claim via their mobile devices. Accident claims specialist National Accident Helpline has launched a new mobile-friendly version of their two core websites - www.underdog.co.uk and www.national-accident-helpline.co.uk. The mobile-friendly sites are aimed at helping people find out about making accident claims and who chose to access the internet via their mobile devices. This latest innovation from the Kettering-based company follows the launch of the underdog website in September 2010, created to give those thinking about claiming compensation more easily understandable, jargon-free information and support. The website’s 2010 launch coincided with a new TV advertising campaign featuring the animated ‘underdog’ character voiced by Joe Pasquale.
The company’s move into the mobile world seems to be well timed – according to the KPMG Media and Entertainment Barometer, smartphone ownership has increased from 27% of people surveyed, to 36% in the last six months, while ownership of tablets such as the Apple iPad has risen from 2% to 5%. National Accident Helpline’s marketing director Beth Powell describes the mobile sites as “A exciting and useful addition to our offering, making it easier and faster for people who are increasingly mobile savvy to access concise information and guidance on making accident claims.”
Anyone visiting either of National Accident Helpline’s websites on a smartphone will be automatically redirected to the mobile websites. The main differences between the new mobile websites and their PC-based counterparts are: more concise content, simple click-to-call buttons, and limited need for scrolling or switching between pages. The mobile websites retain the video content and compensation calculator functions – both of which have proved especially popular with users over the last 12 months.
