Making a hip injury claim
We know how painful and debilitating a hip injury can be. If you've suffered because of a hip injury which was someone else's fault, you may be entitled to claim compensation.
Perhaps it was a slip, trip, or fall, an accident on the road or a complication after hip replacement surgery. Whatever the cause, we can provide you with expert hip injury claims advice, completely free of charge.
Just give us a call on and our friendly, legally trained advisors will tell you within minutes if we can help you claim hip injury compensation.
Why claim hip injury compensation?
We understand that your hip injury is likely to be having a severe effect on your daily life.
If you've had to take time off work then making a hip injury claim can help cover lost wages during your recovery. Your pain and suffering will also be taken into account when assessing how much you're able to claim.
What's more, if you claim compensation for your hip injury, the cause of your injury will be highlighted.
Bringing attention to this danger could mean the same thing won't happen to someone else. For example, faulty machinery may be fixed or a slip and trip hazard removed.
Will I need hip surgery?
If you've suffered a hip injury, then you may be waiting to hear if you'll require surgery on your hip. We understand that this can be a difficult time.
If the damage to your hip joint is particularly severe, you may have been told that you'll need a hip replacement or a 'hip resurfacing procedure'.
If you're suffering from a bone condition such as osteoarthritis, and your hip joint is damaged or fragile and in danger of breaking, this may also mean you need a hip replacement.
While we can't provide you with medical advice over the phone, our legally trained advisors are ready to hear your story and what you're going through. They can then let you know within minutes if we can help you make a hip injury claim.
If you are eligible for compensation, whatever costs you've had to pay for your hip injury treatment will be taken into account when you claim.
Defective hip implant claims
We sometimes hear from people who have had to endure repeated hip surgery because of something wrong with the components used in their surgery.
For example, in late 2009, it became evident that a component used in hip replacement and resurfacing procedures in the UK, namely the DePuy ASR hip implant, was prone to early failure, meaning further correctional surgery may be required.
DePuy, the manufacturer of the component, stated that those who had received an ASR component during surgery should be checked by their surgeon to ascertain whether a correctional procedure was required.
The replacements continue to cause trouble for many of those who received them, with recent reports suggesting that an error in the measuring techniques DePuy used in the manufacturing of metal-on-metal implants may have been at fault.
If you are one of the patients who required further surgery, or will require further surgery in the future, after being given a faulty hip replacement, we may be able to help you claim compensation for your inconvenience and suffering.
Your hip injury claim will be handled on a no win no fee basis, so you'll never be out of pocket. If your claim is one of the rare cases in which no win no fee does not apply, your solicitor will explain this to you at the beginning of your claim.
