How to use our calculator?
We've worked hard to make our calculator easy to use so that you can get a guideline figure on how much compensation you might receive if you were to claim.
To use our calculator, you can simply click on the "start your calculation" button above. You'll then be asked some questions about your accident and injury.
When answering the questions, you should choose the option for each of the multiple choice questions that most applies to you. So, for example, if you've suffered a back injury you'd click the "upper body" icon when asked for the general location of your injury. You'll then be taken to the next step, where you'll specify the type of injury you've suffered.
There are sections where you can input the loss of earnings or additional expenditure you've had as a result of your injury. The more accurate you can be here, the more accurate your compensation prediction will be.
However, don't worry if you don't have the exact figures – as our calculator can only produce a guideline figure it's likely the value of your claim may change once your solicitor has all the exact details of your accident and injury.
If you make a mistake while using our calculator or want to amend an answer, you can click on the "previous" button to be taken back a step.
While using our calculator, you can also opt to start your claim at any point, by clicking on the "start claim now" button or by giving us a call for free on.
How accurate is our calculator?
Our calculator is there to give you an idea of the amount you might be able to claim. Unfortunately, it's not able to give you an exact value of your final settlement because your compensation is often affected by negotiations between your specialist solicitor and the party responsible for your accident.
Your compensation amount also depends on a number of things, such as the severity of your injury, the length of your recovery and any loss of earnings. However, all of the values are calculator gives are taken from official figures so you can be sure the value given is realistic.
Although our calculator does collect some of this information, it can't fully understand the psychological impact of your injury, or your pain. That means you could end up with more than the compensation calculator suggested or in some cases less.
We do recommend our calculator as the first step for people thinking of making a claim but feeling hesitant about the time or work involved, as our calculator can help you make that judgement as to whether your claim is “worth” your time.
Alternatively, you can pick up the phone and give us a call to find out just how easy it is to get advice about claiming and to start your claim.
Our calculator and no win no fee
You may be wondering whether our calculator takes into account any fees you might be charged for making a successful claim.
Our calculator isn’t able to advise you on any fees your solicitor might deduct from your compensation if your claim is successful. That’s because your solicitor discusses these only with you, or a nominated loved one, at the beginning of your claim – so that you can be sure that you know exactly how much you’ll pay before you get started in the event your claim is successful.
Because of this we’re not able to let you know a figure for your solicitor’s work – but when you start your claim your solicitor will talk this through with you.
If your claim is unsuccessful and you are not awarded any compensation, then you won’t pay a penny.
