Background:

Nicola has a diverse career background in recruitment, starting as a Resourcer and advancing to running her own desk in an agency, primarily focused on fashion, design, and production sectors. However, her role evolved post-COVID to become more generalist, working across various industries. During the pandemic, she played a pivotal role in supporting jobseekers back to work in collaboration with the DWP, helping 150 individuals across different sectors find employment. Her transition into the legal sector was driven by her desire to broaden her experience and utilise her current skillset.

Skills:

As a talent acquisition specialist, Nicola possesses a diverse skill set to effectively attract and retain top talent. This includes expertise in recruitment methods, strong communication and networking abilities, and a solid understanding of employment laws. She also has excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a positive candidate experience from interview to onboarding. But most of all, Nicola's passion for connecting candidates with our unified culture is the biggest contribution to our growth and success.

Role:

Playing a pivotal role in building our team and culture, Nicola sources, screens, and interviews candidates for roles across the business. She works closely with team managers to understand their needs and find candidates who fit well with the team before handling negotiations and helping with onboarding new hires. Overall, Nicola's goal is to ensure we have the right people in the right roles to thrive.

Outside the office:

Since a young age, Nicola has been very outdoorsy and an animal lover - she has many fond memories of growing up helping her Grandad feed his horses, cows, ducks and chickens, rounding them up and climbing bails of hay. Today she still has that outdoorsyness at heart, enjoying city breaks and exploring different areas of the UK. She likes to stay active through lots of walks and workouts.

Professional Qualifications:

CIPD Level 5 in People Management
